Tally2SMS is an add-on module which allows the user to send SMS to any mobile phone across the world directly from Tally.ERP9. This module does not require any additional tool or hardware to function. It simply uses internet to send the same. Tally2SMS new cutting edge technology enables it to completely integrate itself with Tally ERP.9 Single-User and Multi-User version and capitalize on its robust platform.

Equipped by an adept SMS manager, also works in an offline mode. Messages generated are saved in the server and are sent when the computer goes online. This unique capability of SMS enables it to provide rich features such as Automated Voucher Details SMS, Scheduled MIS SMS, Automated outstanding SMS, to Clients. A user needs to buy SMS Credits from us. A login ID & Password will be provided by us. A user can use our online portal to login on our website http://www.tally2sms.com A user can integrate his own SMS Gateway. A user has to refer us to do the same. Using the module

To use the module, we need the following >         Configure Login Details to automatically connect to a SMS Gateway Online. >         Create & Configure SMS Templates. >         Link the Templates with the desired Voucher Types to automatically send SMS after saving >         voucher.

Configure Login Details

To configure Login Details, Follow the steps below:                    1.            Go to Gateway of Tally – Tally2SMS Menu                    2.            Go to Gateway Setup.                    3.            Enter the Username & Password been provided by us during the purchase.                    4.            Press CTRL + A to save the screen.

Create/Configure SMS Templates

To configure pre-defined SMS Templates, Follow the steps below: 1.       Go to Gateway of Tally – Tally2SMS Menu –Templates. 2.       A new screen will appear as under. 3.       Template Name – A name of the template which is required to be created. 4.       Use Date From – The source of the data needs to be used while configuring. For example, To configure a template for outstanding reminders then the data type should be Ledger as the Closing Balance and other details will come from Ledger. 5.       Set/Alter – Set Yes. This option to configure Text under the created template. 6.       A new screen will appear as shown below. 7.       You can set up your text Message here. Use the Message Text fields to set the language of the message you desire. 8.       You can set Data Fields within your text message. Data Fields will fetch the data during sending the SMS. 9.       You can enter as many details as you desire. 10.    Leave both fields blank once finished doing the same. 11. Press CTRL + A to save the screen.

Importing Default SMS Templates

You can import default Set of Templates which are most commonly used. To do the same, follow the steps below. 1.       Go to Gateway of Tally – Tally2SMS Menu –Templates.. Select Import Templates provided at the right hand side or press Alt+S 2.       A screen will appear to confirm the same as given below. 3.      Select Yes to move further.

SMS after Saving Voucher

To Configure SMS after Save, a user needs to enable the same in the required voucher type. To do the same, follow the below steps. 1.       Go to Gateway of Tally – Accounts Info – Voucher Type – Alter. 2.       Select the required voucher type. (Example – Sales, Receipt etc.) 3.       Set Yes to the option SMS After Saving Voucher and set the template created for the same. 4.       Press CTRL + A to save the screen. 5.       Create or Alter a transaction within the enabled voucher type to see the impact. 6.       After saving the transaction, a screen will appear to confirm you to send message as shown below. 7.      Select Yes to send the message.

Send Group SMS

You can send SMS to a selected Group of Ledgers. You can either send SMS by using a template or by Typing a Text Message while sending. SMS will be sent automatically to all ledgers even belonging to Sub-Groups under selected Group in one go. To send Group SMS, Follow the given below Steps: 1.       Go to Gateway of Tally – Tally2SMS Menu – Group SMS 2.       Select the required Group. 3.       Select the Template needs to be used to send a SMS or select Not Applicable in case you wish to type a message in the below given field. 4.       Type a Text Message only in case you have selected Not Applicable to Message Template above and save the screen. Tally will start sending messages to all ledgers belonging to the selected Group.

Send SMS to Ledger

You can send SMS to a selected Ledger. You can either send SMS by using a template or by typing a Text Message while sending. To send Ledger SMS, Follow the given below Steps: 1.       Go to Gateway of Tally – Tally2SMS Menu – Ledger SMS. Or, you can send SMS while viewing Ledger Account or Ledger Outstanding by pressing Alt + S. 2.       Select the Template needs to be used to send a SMS or select Not Applicable in case you wish to type a message in the below given field. 3.       Select Scheduled SMS Yes, it will automatically display the time and date. 4.      Type a Text Message only in case you have selected Not Applicable to Message Template above and save the screen.

Send SMS to Selected Ledgers from Reports

You can send SMS to a selected Ledger while viewing reports line Bill Receivable. Bill payable etc. you can either send SMS by using a template or by typing a Text Message while sending. To send SMS to selected Ledgers, Follow the given below Steps: 1.       Go to Display – Statements of Accounts – Outstanding – Bill Payable or any other reports you wish to send. 2.       Press SPACEBAR to select ledgers for SMS. 3.       Press Alt + S to send SMS. 4.       Select the Template needs to be used to send a SMS or select Not Applicable in case you wish to type a message in the below given field. 5.      Type a Text Message only in case you have selected Not Applicable to Message Template above and save the screen.

Send SMS to a Number

You can send SMS to a specified mobile number(s). You can either send SMS by using a template or by Typing a Text Message while sending. To do the same, Follow the given below Steps: 1.       Go to Gateway of Tally – Tally2SMS Menu – SMS to a Number. 2.       Enter mobile numbers separated by comma (,). 3.      Type a text message to Message Template above and save the screen.
